Mundi Mundi Bash & Darling River

The Mundi Mundi Bash is Australia’s newest remote outback music festival set on the Mundi Mundi Plains 40km north west of Broken Hill, with the rugged Barrier Ranges as the backdrop.

Set up camp on the red dirt of the iconic Mundi Mundi plains which transforms into ‘Mundiville’; the temporary mini town with its own network of roads and pathways. The campsites are spacious, and the festival site is suitable for all types of campers: caravans, camper trailers, tents and swags. With sealed roads right to the festival it’s easy to get there.

Bashers will enjoy the big blue skies by day and the brightest starlit skies by night, the spectacular outback sunrise and sunsets, the sweeping vistas and stunning red plains, the outback hospitality and campsite camaraderie, and of course the great music over 3 days and nights.

Attractions

Menindee

Located on the Darling River about 200 kilometres upstream of its junction with the River Murray at Wentworth and 110 kilometres south-east of Broken Hill, the Menindee Lakes are a series of shallow natural ephemeral lakes along the Darling River which have been developed into a water storage. The tiny town of Menindee is the oldest European settlement in western NSW and tragically, was the last stop for ill-fated explorers Burke and Wills.

Broken Hill

The legendary outback city of Broken Hill is rich with history, a vibrant artistic community and cast of colourful characters. Discover amazing galleries, famous sculptures, cool cafes, palatial federation heritage and towering mining landmarks in Australia’s first heritage-listed city.

Brewarrina

Home to ancient Aboriginal fish traps, you’ll discover incredible Aboriginal heritage, fascinating colonial history and outdoor adventure in the tranquil and historic town of Brewarrina. Activities include exploring museums and heritage trails to fishing and swimming in the Barwon-Darling River.
